Oh really? We go 30th Aug/4 Sep ,do you think we could manage without front of row passes?

Definitely. Use the early park entry and you get some big rides done within first 1-2 hours, then just work your way round based on timings (wait times). That time of year is typically a bit quieter too anyway, apart from any special events on, e.g. early horror nights.
The beauty of staying within walking distance is you can go back to hotel and chill for a bit and then come back later. If it’s after a downpour, then many will have left and it’s even quieter.

I would agree.

I mean, no one *needs* the Express Passes. They just make things easier and more enjoyable. It is somewhat dependent on a person's tolerance to queues. Express Passes are more useful to get if only there for 2 or 3 days. With 5 days at the parks, the rides are probably doable without them.
