We've booked, and apparently it's 2 degrees on Friday!
Should be quite the experience... |

We went this morning. It was really good and the cold was fine. I’m mean it was cold but it wasn’t long that you were outside.
We went in both outside pools. One is warmer and the other cooler (but still warm) one has jets in the water and a lazy river that was anything but lazy. It was a hoot! We also tried some of the indoor pools. All in all it was very expensive but it was a good experience. My towel was soaked very quickly and then useless. Ideally need two. One for between pools and one to dry with at the end. Edited at 07:50 PM. |

I went in February. It was fab.
Initially wanted to go in November, was hoping for snow, it got cancelled due to covid. You will be momentarily chilly when you go from one bath to another but nothing unbearable. It's a lovely experience. You can always just do the indoor ones- most of it is indoors at the Szechenyi baths (the big one that everyone goes to) if you don't want to go outside- but you'll miss out a bit in my opinion. If I was going back, I'd like to try the Gellert baths, which are smaller but look beautuful- and I think is indoors only- but not 100% on that as haven't been. The changing rooms might be more basic than your used to- I wore swimsuit under clothes and took flip flops with me. I paid for an upgraded changing room, totally not worth it- its just a little cubicle and very basic. Buy your tickets online in advance, a little bit cheaper and you will skip the queue. Have a gorgeous time.. I'm very jealous! |
