After various blood tests mri and cat scat i have been diagnosed with myeloma. It's a form of blood cancer that eats holes in your bones and causes them to become weak and exposing nerves. The destruction from this also carries the calcium particles from your bones to your kidneys which blocks the filtration of the kidneys which ends up with renal failure if not treated.
So have a bone marrow extraction on Tuesday that is sent away to be analysed and will give them an idea of the severity of my illness and the way for treatment. I may be choosen to go on medical trials and have my own personal plan rather than one hat fits all approach.
Glad I cancelled my trip to Asia as I can't start to imagine the complications if I had arrived in China with the pain I get atm.
The specialist said its treatable but not curable and I have a long road ahead.
Medically retired on Friday as unable to now work.

Also a word of warning. I was going to go to a chiropractor the week before but changed my mind. The specialist said this could have done futher damage to my vertebra by actually snapping the bone and causing life threatening issues.
Don't want a pity party but will chart my progress
Oh my word, that is such a shock, I imagine you are still in the process of trying to wrap your head around it.
Good luck with the treatment, I hope everything goes well, sending you my love 💕💕

So sorry to hear this Mike and sadly am in a similar position. Had back issues for months which I knew felt like nerve issues but doctors and physio said it was muscular. A few weeks ago I had some neurological symptoms and had tests for a stroke which were clear but basically they got worse and I lost movement in my right eye and was admitted. A barrage of tests found cancer all over including a large mass in the soft tissue of my gluteus muscle, my spine causing a fracture and nerve compression, my liver, lungs and brain. I have been given 3-12 months.
I have wanted to post this on here but hadn’t plucked up the courage until I saw your post. I will be thinking of you x

Really sorry to hear this.
Best of luck with your treatment, this must’ve come as such a shock. Thank goodness you didn’t go to the chiropractor - and that you cancelled your trip.
Sending love and well wishes.

Oh my word, I’m in complete shock at this.
I remember you posting a few weeks ago about having tests for a possible stroke.
Sending so much love and strength to you and your family ❤️ xx

I’ll be keeping you both in my thoughts x
