Ive just ordered from another provider - cheaper
It gave the option to refuse consent to notify GP - so I did refuse ... I also got a bit confused about my GPs details 😉😂

I will be talking to my travel insurance. I go through their nurse as I have conditions.
I definitely don't want to risk not being properly covered if I'm travelling to the USA. I think I gave my Dr details when I applied, but I will tell them at my impending check up.

Long term poster but have family on here who I don’t particularly want to know I’m taking this 🙄
I’ve been taking Mounjaro since the last week of July and have lost 26.5lbs to date. Would like to lose another stone and then see how I feel about carrying on/maintenance. After working my way through two 2.5mg pens (took the fifth dose both times and I’ve here to tell the tale) I’m now taking a 3.75mg dose from a 5mg pen, so 45 clicks. This is working really well for me and food noise has disappeared again, it had started to come back towards the end of the second 2.5mg pen. First time I ordered I went with Med Express but they print their details on the packaging - no good for me when I’m trying to keep this a secret! Second and third time I ordered I went with IQ Doctor who seem ok and always seem to have a 15% discount available (Med Express tend to offer discount for first order only IIRC) IQ Doctor give the option of DPD for their deliveries which works much better for me as they text a 1 hour time slot so I just make sure I get to the door first! So far Ive been really lucky with side effects and have only suffered mild nausea (not bad enough to take anything for it) and feeling really cold for a couple of days after injecting. Looking forward to seeing other Dibber’s successes! |

Thanks for this and well done you, I’ve told my closest family only and do not want to tell anyone else, some comments on here recently have confirmed my resolve.
Do you use your pen for more than 30 - I’m sure that’s another money making spin, to stop people for example using 10mg for longer term 2.5mg maintenance for much less £££. |

Should I be taking any vitamins/supplements etc whilst using this? Want to get prepared before the delivery.
Thanks |

I think you’re right about the money making spin. I suppose the medication could potentially become less effective after 30 days but surely this would happen over time and not just become ‘bad’ after this date? Taking the fifth dose doesn’t actually take you beyond 30 days (see below)
Dose 1 - day 1 Dose 2 - day 8 Dose 3 - day 15 Dose 4 - day 22 Dose 5 - day 29 I’ll be using my 5mg pen beyond 30 days as I’m just taking a 3.75 dose from it so I’ll see what happens. Perhaps it’ll be a little less effective for the later doses but I’m ok with that for the money saving aspect! Just to add I’ve used insulin needles for the fifth dose rather than forcing the pen as I’ve read it isn’t always successful 🤷🏼 |

The best approach is a low calorie, so low fat and sugar/carbs, but a good level of fibre and protein. I’ve seen people using protein shakes and protein yogurts. As such a multivitamin supplement might be a good idea.
I think a good shout to help avoid some of the more common side effects is to take a probiotic and electrolyte daily. The majority of people don’t get any side effects but it’s good to be prepared IMO. |

Yes I can see why you have done that considering some of the pious comments on the closed thread. I was somewhat reticent in joining this group, and I'll certainly not be posting much personal info tbh. Ive found support groups on FB a bit more anon for that 👍🏼
