I had read you saying they had asked for another photo. I ordered my first one on Wednesday night and it’s being delivered today. I made sure my photo wasn’t too flattering if that makes sense.
Such a shame yours is taking so long. I was expecting it to be a longer wait.

I actually called my practice about 2 months ago to see if they were offering this via my gp. I explained how much it would help me and that I did feel I was at risk going forward. Not even offered a conversation. And it took a lot for me to make that call and put myself forward.

Yes her tone was definitely off, very accusatory. Are you getting them privately?
I mean how else would I be getting them? Certainly not from the NHS, she could see I was getting them from a recognised prescriber and not from someone in TikTok or something.

Yep !
The last dealings I had with my GP was when I put in a complaint 😂

Thanks for starting this thread.
With a BMI of 27, high blood pressure, (though not on any medication) joint aches etc I got my request approved after sending photos in my gym clothes. Order arrived next day.
Will have to try and change provider for next order if they don’t offer another discount as much more expensive than most.
Took my first dose yesterday and was expecting to feel nauseous but so far so good. Don’t feel any different actually. Going to eat high protein and fibre with no processed food, with plenty of water and electrolytes.

My biggest worry was injecting myself as I am a wuss and close my eyes if ever have blood taken etc. Tried to be brave, did it by pinching my tummy and was surprised as no pain whatsoever. I even had to look to check it had gone in. Though for some strange reason already dreading putting in week 2….

Not going to tell anyone on it, though may do after they notice I have lost weight. I know how I should eat but just get cravings for crisps and chocolate of an evening so if this helps me lose weight and be healthier I don’t see any problem. In fact can’t see why people don’t approve anyone taking it as will cost the NHS less as health markers will improve if obesity reduced.

Babbymint is correct. You just need to show proof of your previous dose. I know for IQ Doctor this can be in the form of a photograph of Mounjaro box with the personalised sticker they put on showing your name and dose. You’d obviously also be able to use a copy of your prescription. But in short you don’t need to stick to the same supplier.

I actually rang them this morning and now it’s been approved, wish me luck lol

I spoke to my travel insurance ( Avila for Nationwide) and as it’s not being prescribed for a medical condition only for weight loss there is no need to tell them or pay any extra.
Obviously check your own but seems like it’s ok

Hi all, mind if I join? I started last Saturday so tomorrow morning is my first weigh in and second injection. I've been lucky so far and suffered zero side effects so I hope that continues in week 2!

Suppression kicked in for me the day after the jab and today is the first day it feels like it's worn off, so happy with that. My husband started the same day too and also hasn't really had any side effects either. Will update tomorrow with how much we've lost on our first week.
