The Bryant Park Hotel is hard to beat.
We've stayed there a few times and have always loved it. The rack rate isn't the lowest but if you keep an eye on their website for deals it can be comparable in price to some of the huge Times Square hotels |

We have stayed at the Broadway Plaza twice now, thanks to your recommendation. Sadly, they no longer do the free breakfast.
Brilliant hotel and an excellent location

We stayed at the Riu Plaza Times Square in February this year. The free breakfast was brilliant, loads of choice. We’d definitely stay there again.

Stopped at the Iberostar 70 Park Ave in 2022 for our 50ths, a couple of blocks south of the Met Life/Grand Central on Park Ave. Enjoyed our stay, staff were lovely. Shout out to Zaro’s coffee & bagels in the food concourse of Grand Central for breakfast as well!
Hotel is in midtown, so walking distance to Empire State, Times Square & theatre district.

Crowne Plaza Times Square and The Manhattan at Times Square. Both were pretty good for location, The Manhattan was a bit run down, however this was circa 10yrs ago.
We stayed fairly central both times and commuted around on underground! |

I have stayed at the Riu Plaza Times Square a couple of weeks ago and could not fault it. Location was great, staff fantastic really great hotel.
Like others have said the free breakfast is good it does get busy but they do handle this really well. We asked for a high floor when we got there and the views were amazing |

i think this tread is fine for my question
we plan to stay one night in NYC after WDW. Do you think its worth to take a Manhattan Hotel or stay in Queens and take the metro into the town? We will arrive at JFK arround 10 in the morning and fly back at 9 in the evening the next day thanks |

I have only been driven through Queens a couple of times, (once to LaGuardia, once to JFK) and to be honest, there was not much that inspired me in passing, certainly not when compared with Manhattan..
You have an afternoon/evening in NY and then, the best part of all the following day. That could be a really good amount of sightseeing on Manhattan. I would most certainly look to stay the night in Manhattan, catching the Subway into town and a Taxi back to JFK the following late afternoon, having left my cases with the Hotel Reception. Clearly, DIBBERS have given you some fine options and at different budgets. If you have not been before (I don’t know), then the Times Sq area would be favourite as so much is in that area. You could also from there, walk across to West Side and catch the Hornblower Boat from just S of USS Intrepid, getting some great views of Manhattan, Ellis Island, Lady Liberty as well as a drop off next to the 9/11 site. Just a thought that you could see quite a lot on your stopover!
