Notary / Affidavit ?
Do we need to sign these forms with a solicitor present? If not, who/what? 😬😬
Thanks ☺️☺️ Also, we have just checked the Affidavit and its a big form but with lots to fill in 😬 its not just a form that needs signing. 😬 It states this in the email; I have attached the Affidavit to this email. Please print and sign it in the presence of a local notary or notary equivalent in your country. Once it is signed please scan and email it back to me Edited at 03:09 PM. |

We actually had to use a notary and get them to stamp it when we bought the house
You will find one locally anywhere from £75 to £150 is what my neice charges and £45 per additional document |

We had to use a notary, but heard of some people not having to. I got a local one in West Yorkshire cost about 80 quid IIRC.

A notary is a trained person who is exactly that a notary. Google notary in your area and you will find one then phone and make an appointment.
The signatures have to be witnessed and the notary will attach a special seal/stamp to the document. Ask when you make the appointment what identification you need to take. Clearly there is a cost, probably £50-£100 but I haven't used one for a few years. |

Is this from dvc title and escrow. As they appear to be the only ones asking for this.
As others have said they have had it waved |

I was hoping a teacher would do because when I googled it that was one of the options 😬😬
Its a Affidavit form, with loads to fill in (I assume by us) but it doesn’t make much sense to me 🤦 The email says that its Florida law that this needs to be done. This is what I found online: |

Hey,
I used the faculty office website / find a notary Whole process took about 30 minutes, went to their office (house) and the documents were stamped. Sent them to Disney via FedEx (had to use the pick up at home option, FedEx drop off couldn't scan the barcode) Cost approx. £140 for the notorisation. Cheers, Ant |
