I’m having a practice at a Tunis cake at the weekend - instead of lemon sponge though I have some spiced vanilla essence that I’m using - hoping it will taste good.

I’ve managed to get some Christmas baking out of the way today.
I’ve made chocolate orange,
Black Forest and caramel turtle brownies today.
Plus the pastry is in the oven for Bakewell slices. DH bought a delicious sour Cherry and prosecco jam which I’ll use for those 😋

I’ll chop them all up for the freezer tomorrow then if anyone wants something sweet they can get some out as and when

Must tackle the flipping gifts now!
As happens every single year, one minute it’s ’too early’ and suddenly it’s Boxing Day

Pretty much done. DH decided this year we should put presents in giftbags than can be reused rather than wrapping (he hates wrapping &#129315. Good idea I thought (and spent a half fortune and hours hunting reasonably priced ones that are also beautiful). Until I am standing with lots of filled bags and now have a different problem - they are so much bigger to hide!

My daughter is taking my granddaughter out tomorrow….so I can do all the wrapping and hiding whilst she’s out. 💕🎁🎄

Dd is going out shopping for a daddy and daughter day on Sunday - I will have another attack on present wrapping then!

We don’t have ‘pop’ in the house, the kids just drink water but my 18 year old loves gatorade whenever we are in Florida so I have bought a very large multi pack of them for him for Christmas. The delivery guy came yesterday and said he would put it in the house for me rather than pass it to me because it was heavy, he wasn’t kidding! 🙈 I can’t lift the box 😬 my husband is going to have to help me wrap it and hide it 🤣 at least my husband will get to see one present my middle son has and what wrapping paper he has before Christmas 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
