LIVE! Champagne, Carols and Christmas Trees - A Sparks Disney/Signia Trip Dec 2024

Hello! I’m Michelle, Holiday Lover, Hotel Booker and Disney Fan and my DH is Adam, Holiday Lover, Flight Booker and Bourbon Enthusiast.

This year marks our 10th Anniversary of visiting Disney and this will be our 5th Christmas time trip. Christmas is my favourite time of year and Disney is just so magical with all their decorations and parades. 🎄🤩

This trip will be myself and Adam, our DS Cooper (17) is staying home by choice as he is in his final year at College. My parents will be moving in to take care of him and also our fur baby Milo. I always miss them but they are completely spoiled by my parents and I’m pretty sure they don’t even miss me! 😆😢

We are staying the night prior to our flight at The Radisson Blu at Manchester Airport, this is our regular Hotel and we enjoy the proximity to the Terminal. We have chosen a regular room as I wasn’t super impressed with the Executive Lounge on our Summer stay. As it is just the two of us, a room picnic is perfect! 🥂🥃

We are flying Aer Lingus in economy, this is our first time flying with them so I am curious to see how it compares to Virgin. We had Aer Lingus vouchers from a few years ago that needed to be used, which is why we are flying with them!

We have hired a car though Andy at DFCH, we always use him and the service is excellent. I’m fairly confident that Adam has chosen something enormous to fit in our luggage …. and my shopping. 🛍️😉 This is our car from our Summer trip!

Our first Hotel is The Signia which is part of the Hilton group, we have 5 nights here. This is our first stay here as we normally like to stay at the Waldorf, which is actually connected to the Signia by an internal corridor and you can use all the facilities for both sites. These Hotels are both Disney Partner Hotels and offer Coach Transportation to the Parks and Disney Springs, which is a service that we really enjoy.

The next 5 nights will be at Pop Century Resort Hotel. Pop was our first ever Disney Hotel stay and the Skyliner access is my most favourite part!

We have Park Hopper tickets for our stay and I’m still undecided as to whether or not to buy Genie + for our stay. We have purchased it on previous trips and found it to be excellent, simple to use and it maximised our ability to ride pretty much everything we wanted to in the Parks (except for the paying for it!) 😂 I will keep you posted once I decide. 😁

I also managed to secure tickets to the Candlelight Processional, this is a first for us so I am super excited. We are watching Neil Patrick Harris and I’m sure it will be fantastic. 🎄🤩 It was a bit of an ordeal trying to make the reservation, so we ended up with dinner at The Creperie, fingers crossed it’s delicious.

We are also looking forward to Festival of the Holidays at Epcot. We have had a fantastic time visiting over the past few years and have some favourites that are definitely on the list…. like the Frozen Hot Chocolate Martini from France. 🇫🇷😍

Adam has a sweet tooth, so the cookie stroll is definitely part of our plans! He loves the Linzer cookie so we will have to see if there are any others that might be better!

We will also make time for shopping at all our favourite spots like Target, Publix, Walmart, Kirklands, Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx and Homegoods. Adam loves to visit Total Wines and pretty much any other liquor store we pass to hunt out new Bourbon finds. 🥃

We love eating off-site as we find it to be much better value than on-site at Disney. In saying that, we will definitely be trying snacks and treats at Disney! You can expect some old favourites and some ‘new to us’ dining spots too. 😋
