My sons still assure me repeatedly, that they believe in Santa and so it must be true.
They start believing around early December and then cease believing upon waking on December 26.

They are 22 and 18 respectively.

My daughter is 11 and still believes... I too don't know how much longer we have left.. She's in her first year of high school so it won't be long I guess...

My dd is 13 now but still plays along for my benefit to a certain extent.

Anyone who still thinks their older child still believes may well find they are just pretending!
Both mine said they stopped believing a good few years before they admitted it!
I would also be wary of them still believing at high school as it only takes the wrong person finding out and unfortunately they will more than likely be made fun of!
It's sad and I wish we could all be believers for ever as it makes Christmas so much more special!

DS16 just wrote his Santa letter last week and DS19 last Christmas introduced his Finnish girlfriend to the tradition of sprinkling reindeer dust. In our house, we talk about it as fact and therefore it is true. 😂

My son told me a couple of weeks ago that our granddaughter, who is almost 9, no longer believes. Someone at school told her, so she asked her parents who sadly confirmed it was true...

My teen boys obviously know the truth and I have confirmed it for them both but we all believe in the magic of Christmas and they both still insist on writing a letter to Santa and leaving out plate of snacks on Christmas Eve, last year they were disappointed that I hadn't bought any reindeer dust.
I enjoy the build up to Christmas day as much as the day and I will always believe in the magic around Christmas .
