How Slow are Budget at Orlando Airport?

Got a Great price on a large SUV but its with Budget at MCO
I normally use Avis

There does not seem to be a straight to car option.

Is this stand in line for ages, then listen to all the ways and means to get you to pay out more.

As far as insurance i believe the car is covered pretty well by BA with zero excess.

Otherwise its things like size upgrade, sat Navs and insurance you do not need.

What fuel option is best, return empty or full

Ask for receipt on return always

We will not reserve with Budget at MCO. We tend to fly in with southwest and they are a points partner. When a good part of the plane is at the same rental, we have waited close to two hours for a car looking at the other counters with no one in line.

I think it may be the luck of the draw but any counter at MCO can have a long line.

You couldn’t pay me to rent with Budget ever again. Their counter service is terrible. I had a really good comparison as my sister was in an Alamo queue twice as long as the Budget queue but was through an hour before I was. Plus they lied to me about the vehicle class I booked wouldn’t be available for some time and they would “upgrade” me to a better vehicle which turned out to be in a cheaper class. When I went to the garage there was plenty of cars in my class available. Didn’t want to spend anymore time back at the counter so went with it. Never ever again. Terrible staff, terrible company.

I’m normally go with the cheapeast but after a long flight I just want to go straight to the garage and pick up the car so I’ll pay £50/60 more with Alamo to avoid Budget and there clunkers and 30 mins of no no no etc not worth the hassle for me now

I have just rebooked my car hire to Avis as i am a preferred member for a while now and straight to the garage on a late flight is sensible.
My head was turned by the cheap price for group s with Budget, regretted it almost immediately and other dibbers posts as well as yours confirmed the worst about the overall poor experience i was going to get.

Thanks
