Touring plans or EMH?
Looking at planning my holiday. I've subscribed to touring plans and each time they have EMH the park seems so much more busy ie;
Mk EMH 8/10 Ep 5/10 AK 5/10 Hs 6/10 My question is, is it worth using the EMH? X x |

We found EMH really crowded when we went in September. We started to give them a miss in the end. If you get there for rope drop (of EMH) you can get a couple of rides in before it gets busy, you then need to change park really as that park will usually get busier than the others that don’t have EMH

I do tend to use morning EMH but only when I will definitely make rope drop. I take advantage of the lower crowds while they last and then leave to do something else.

EMH at AK work really well if you aren't heading to FOP- get dinosaur and EE or Navi with next to no waits then head onto safari at rope drop
Epcot was okay- bus issues so didn't get there as early as we wanted - crazy security line but still got soarin and frozen done before 9.10 ish- got through security by 8.20 am - Fast passes meant the rest of the day was easy MK we arrived just before the end of EMH and it was busy before they left everyone else in so if going get there or rope drop |

This is what the DIBB recommends, regarding EMH:
It's an onsite perk, therefore it's recommended you use it. However, it's a good idea to park hop or head back to your hotel after EMH. Usually, the crowd levels on crowd calendars or recommended parks listed on busy day guides relate to the rest of the day during regular park hours, not to the crowd level during EMH itself. I've only ever been to morning EMH and the parks are quieter during this time. Therefore I'd certainly recommend using morning EMH if you can get up early. I suspect evening EMH is only quieter during the second hour, once most of the offsite guests have left (the first hour will probably be busy). Looking at the historic wait times, morning EMH doesn't seem to make much difference to wait times during the rest of the day. Whereas evening EMH does seem to increase wait times slightly (although not always).
