Whispering Canyon Cafe. Recent views?

We last went to WCC many years ago way back in 2012. It was the ADR I was desperate to do and it ended up being a disaster. The in laws hated it(not WCC fault), mains being brought 2 minutes after our appetisers appeared and a really awful server who had no interest in us! It really put us off but I still like the look of the menu and just wondering how rates at the moment? I’m not sure I will get DW to want to go anyway but worth a look.

We have been to Whispering Canyon three times the last time we went it was very noticeable that thy have toned down the antics they also give you a counter red on one side and green on the other to indicate if you want to take part or not. They still did the ketchup thing kids hobbie horses and birthday/celebration announcements but not much else The food was fine but we did not go with the skillet as we found it to much food so went with steaks and salmon Probably will not bother again but will try out Artists Point to meet the evil queen next time

A tale of 2 halfs, Myself & Dw just thought that it was ok, she had the skillet with the salmon- a new breed of pygmy salmon & as tough as old boots, my original skillet was ok. We each had a cocktail & were so strong as to make them nigh on un-drinkable! We weren't too sure about our server as unsure whether her whole demeanour was all part of the "Act".
DS & DGF loved it & would have quite happily gone back.

Personally We'd choose Trail's End in front of WCC every day of the week ...

we gave it a second try last august and were really not impressed, rushed service and refills of the food were very slow coming, really won't be bothering going back again.

Not hugely recent but we went in 2016 and absolutely loved it, both food and service were excellent plus the antics. So of course we went back in 2018.
This time we were fairly disappointed, food was ok but not as good as before and pretty much no “entertainment” other than the horses and the ketchup thing.
Shadow of it’s former self I think.
Sorry won’t be returning.

We’ve been a couple of times, again not overly recently, but agree with the comment of Trails End over WCC for food certainly.

I’d love to hear if it’s better than it was when we’ve gone but if you’ve had a less than ideal experience somewhere there’s always so many other places to try rather than nervously return.

We last ate here in April and our server was an absolute scream, we had so much fun.

As with 50's Prime time it seems to be all down to your server, the food's very good though so still a nice meal and for WDW one of the not quite so eye watering prices!

We were there in Summer 2019. It was just an ok. The food is different so that was a good part. For comparison DH enjoyed the similar food that House of Blues offers as a platter. This isn’t unlimited and you don’t get the entertainment but similar in terms of food choice.
We haven’t booked to go back there this Summer so it’s a bit of a “meh” for me.
