I would use whatever you use here.
If your 7yr old is still using a full car seat/high back booster then use the same there. The laws aren’t as strict but the risks are still the same.
If your current seat is too heavy, purchase a cheap one to take and can always leave it behind or keep as a spare.
Car seats can be taken for free.

We always use car seats. My 5, 8 and 11 year old are in high backed boosters. The 11 year old is 4ft 11 (150cm). We have seen so many bumps on the roads, and it can be scary when the rain starts, I feel more comfortable that the kids have some head and neck protection. The booster seats are only suitable for aligning the seat belt correctly, and offer no protection.

If I buy cheap high back seats here will I be able to put them with our luggage in magic express. W We don’t get a car until we move to a villa.
Although I’ve bought these booster seat bags I’d much rather use a proper seat. Much to my daughters dismay, apparently all of her friends have boosters and we’re treating her like a baby still making her use a seat.

OK tanks for the advise. do you just drop the car seat with main luggage? I worry about damage in transit
