Here now for the race weekend and it was confirmed at the Expo today that next year will be the 20-23rd Sep for the races.

I've just found an email from Disney in my promotions folder saying hope to see you next year 20-23 September 2018. There's also a link to a questionnaire which I'm not going to do right now but might give some insight into thoughts they have for next year

I got that too. It asked about new challenges.
Potential options were 5k + 5k 5k + 10k 5k + 10k + half 10k + half 5k + 10k + half + marathon It also asked about themes: Pirates, Princess, villains, Super heros, Star Wars, Pixar
