Best accommodation for a couple in Orlando...
Hi - looking for some advice on where to stay as a couple in Orlando.
We are planning to go in August 2020 , we have a villa booked for a week with a group of 7 but we are going to be on our own for the second week! I have been looking at staying onsite at Disney but it seems like the prices keep going up and up! Open to considering anything, hotel, condo, apartment or villa. If you have any recommendations it would be much appreciated! Also im tempted by Animal Kingdom Lodge... is it worth it or are we best off doing something cheaper? Thanks, Claudia |

I love having the space of a villa, you can cook & eat whenever you want, private pool and laundry facilities.
I'd love to stay at AKL but it is rather pricey. I'd get booking asap if you are going to stay onsite, I doubt it will get any cheaper. Or maybe a hotel in LBV? So you are near DS and the action. |

would recommend the townhouses with splash pool at either windor hills, Windsor palms or encantada. A good half way house as your not paying full villa rates but getting most of the benefits.
There's a few on here which are great, we staying in one earlier this year and couldn't fault it (nick and Dels) |

We love Port Orleans French Quarter, it's quaint and has a really lovely grown up feel to it, as well as the lovely boat ride over to Disney Springs (and the beignets), it's a nice adults only choice we feel.

we love having a 4 bedroom villa to ourselves! its good to share (and brings the costs down somewhat) but if i had a week extra, i'd stay in the villa if i could afford it!

We choose to stay in the Beach Club as a family, but as a couple we'd stay there too, although we'd consider the Boardwalk too.
Simply being in walking/staggering distance of Epcot's numerous drinking spots, as well as Jellyrollls, would be ideal for us. |

Me and my now wife did something similar when we went with my family. We just booked 2 nights at the All Star Movies so we could run around Disney in 2 days with a first night on the boardwalk for dinner and stroll and on the final day met back up with my family. All depends on budgets and what your looking for and whether you'd have your own car to get around.
You've also got the new hotels on site at Universal and would be close to I-Drive too? |

Thanks everyone! Thinking of looking into getting a villa/condo... I love Disney but think we will benefit from a villa a bit more.
will defo have a look into the condo suggestions! Thank you! |

In answer to your question after a week with everyone else chill in a villa with all the mod cons, no resort fees, no hotel/parking charges etc etc.
