October 2020 - No "Free Dining" offer - best time to book?

Hi there,

Long time reader, first time poster here

We are a family of 5 just back from a week at the Boardwalk Inn on the dining plan and looking into the best time to book for next October 2020 school holiday time.

At the moment Disney are offering a 10% discount on bookings for dates after the “free dining” offer expires (>3rd October) , does anyone know from previous years if this discount rate will increase when the Free Dining offers all expire towards the end of October 2019. Or is now the best it is going to be? We are not sure whether we will take the dining plan or not or even where we will be staying, just trying to figure out the best time to book going on other people's experience.

What you could do, if you know you definitely want to go, is to book a resort now with just 1 person in it for a £50 deposit, and keep an eye on future offers. That way, the worst that'll happen is you will lose the £50 deposit if you need to cancel, or switch to a different (better) offer.
