Multi resort stay options
We have most of our stay booked at AKL but they didnt have availability for the first 4 nights. We arrive quiet late so wont get to the resort until near midnight. We have thought about a moderate resort for the 4 nights, but now thinking about treating ourselves to something like GF. We have no dinning plan and our tickets are separate so we can resort hop easily.
Now the big question is night 1. Should we book 4 nights GF, which is a very expensive 1st night for somewhere basically to collapse and sleep. Or do we book AllStars for the 1st night and then GF for 3 nights? We know changing resorts is very easy and we can pack our cases to make the 1st night easy (just like a stop at an airport hotel I guess). Both have pros and cons, but we would save in excess of £300+ on the first night.

I think I’d go for All Stars for the first night, and use the £300 for some holiday treats. We always do this for DLP - pack an overnight bag for a cheap first night hotel and leave everything else in the cases. Then up early, check into a Disney hotel and store our bags, then head into the parks for the day. Then 5 days later, we leave the parks after midnight, get bags from the luggage store and head to another hotel for our last night. It’s a lot of moving around in less than a week, but it works for us - saves money, and it’s no trouble if we pack accordingly.
