Didn't know you could camp in the DLP car park, mighjt be handy one day (don't know why as can't see us ever owning a motorhome, but still good for future reference!)

Be wary of carrying LPG tanks tho - they MUST be empty for you to travel through.

A breeze at the other end though. Straight out onto the A routes and its a dead easy run - takes us typically about 2-3 hrs.

Davey Crockets Ranch is self catering cabins ONLY
No tents or vans.
Also there is NO free transfer transport to/from the parks,
you have to make your own arrangements.
Its about a 15 min journey away - next Junction off the autoroute.

You CANNOT camp anywhere onsite.

You might find a local campsite nearby?
(Sorry - cant help you on this one, not big on camping!)
Ok and this is probably a very dumb questions but our 4x4 runs on LPG does that mean to take it on the Chunnel we have to make sure there was no Gas left in the tanks and run it on Petrol?

Unfortunately, you cant use the tunnel at all
(how very eco friendly...)

LPG tank

LPG is the abbreviation for « Liquefied Petroleum Gas ».

LPG or equivalent flammable gas and dual powered vehicles (i.e. vehicles fitted with an LPG or equivalent tank as an alternative fuel) cannot be accepted for transport by Eurotunnel, even though:

- the LPG or equivalent tank is empty,
- the LPG or equivalent mode of the vehicle is not selected.

More on their website...

Thankyou for that.. oh well i guess we'll not be driving then cause hell will freeze over before i get on a ferry lol !

It had never occured to me before i read this thread that it wouldnt be allowed.. i can see why it would be a problem if the LPG tank was full but i didnt realise them being empty would cause problems (except for the oh having a fit cause he was using so much petrol lol ! ).
