Sounds like a fantastic trip you are going on.
If it gets too noisy in the car stick your IPOD in your ears and drift away to some motown. I don't know why ...but I am soooooo pleased for you

 Forgot to say that J will be doing most (if not all) of the driving! I will go on the hire thingy and may do some of the long stretches - I have driven in the US before, but no way do I want to drive in any city  He loves driving - used to drive to Germany and back monthly for work - we also did over 1000 miles driving to Slovakia and back last April/May. Rach and Phil can drive and wanted to - but we could not find anywhere that would let under 25's drive for anything like a reasonable price
