We have been loads of times and never really found it a problem, I think only once someone was smoking in the line, I politely asked them to move as it was affecting my granddaughter, and they moved away. I have never seen anyone smoking in the hotel or restaurants.

We went for 4 days in feb. I wasn't looking out for smokers. I remember seeing one on our fourth day and thinking " loads of people on the dibb find the smoking the biggest bug bear of DLP, and I'd not even noticed any.
I'm sure there were people smoking there, but I genuinely didn't see any more other than this one. Unless you've got it into your head that it is going to spoil your holiday , you won't even notice many |

Quite agree with you. Mind you I do think the smoking has eased a lot since we have been going. When we first started going it was really bad but over the last couple of years it definitely seems to have eased up a lot.

Someone in front of me watching dreams was really chain smoking - the only person I saw to be fair but wouldn't stop or move after I asked, I was really polite, honest!

Me too, we went to Camelot last August and far more smokers there, and in queues near children. In all our visits to DLP it has only been a problem 2x, the 2nd time was in the queue to get into WDS early for Crush there was a French Grandma smoking some weird thing in a holder just in front of us. I am a vehement anti-smoker and an ex-smoker of 17yrs, I really don't find it as bad as walking round Manchester in the daytime.

I know sometimes it feels like that but it is not true. Some of the worst smokers I have come across in DLP are Brits and they are some of the worst queue jumpers. The Danish and Swedish people on the other hand were polite and well mannered.Lets face it as mentioned before you get rude people everywhere. The worst pushing in I have ever come across was at WDW.

I've got to be hZonest & say I don't think it's too ride .. Yes people smoke in outdoor queues & I hate it but a few blow out of breaths & waving your nose along with ensuring you keep your kids away from the risk of burning you won't get it in every queue.
I've been a good few times over the years & last August was the most I noticed it & I did point at no smoking signs to those that were smoking in queues but they didn't care. Regardless of it being Europe I think DLP need to actually implement the ban as it is not right.

The point is they can't. French law permits smoking in open spaces...even Mickey cannot argue with the law. Or the French.

If people actually read the Florida Theme Parks forums there are loads of comments/complaints about rude people in WDW, specially the South American tour groups. But for some reason the minute they see a post about DLP it gets forgotten and DLP is the worst place on earth. Much like the smoking debate, I have NEVER had a problem with it and I am really anti-smoking, admittedly I have only once been during French school holidays (last month), but normally the Brits are as bad for smoking at DLP and just as bad for queue jumping as any other nationality that has been mentioned. I have always found if you act in a respectful manner towards those around you they will return it, I have met lots of wonderful, well mannered people at DLP from all sorts of countries. I have also never come across a rude CM, but I believe that is partly because even when I have had cause to complain about something I have done it in a polite and respectful manner, it was never the fault of the person to whom I had to make the complaint, so why would I be rude to them. I often think people go to DLP looking for bad experiences and they find them. I go for a fun family holiday and that's what I get!
