A girlie holiday to the south of France, July 2015
Welcome to my pre trip report for our upcoming holiday to the south of France, namely Carcassonne and Narbonne Plage.
My friend Linda has a house in Narbonne Plage, so we have all been before, usually every year. I havent been for a few years, so Im super excited. The girls are, me, Julie, and my sister Steph: (Taken before selfie sticks were about!) Donna and Linda (the owner of the house) Also, our friend Debbie is coming, but I cant find a photo of her on photobucket at the moment. As I work in a school, we fly out the day after we break up, Wed 22nd July.We dont fly until the afternoon, with ryan air, which were £85 each return, pretty good for the school holidays. We use public transport when we get to Carcassonne, which is a train to Narbonne, and a euro bus to Narbonne Plage, and as we dont arrive until late afternoon, we would miss the euro bus, so it was decided to stay at carcasonne for one night. We have never done this before, although we did have lunch there in the castle, som we re all looking forward to spending a night there. I'm not sure what the apartment is called, as Steph booked it, but the price was £30 per person. Then on thurs, it will be the pic journey to lindas house. Linda and her husband will have already got a supply of wine and beer in, so at least we can relax with a drink when we arrive. It will mostly be a relaxing holiday, we normally do a fair amount of walking though, and visit the surrounding places. The beach have groups and entertainment on every night, for free, so we normally take a blanket and a bottle of wine there in the evening. Also, Linda is getting a karoke machine, the poor neighbours! Heres some photos from my previous visits Carcassonne Lindas place The pool The drinks! An evening on the beach Edited at 04:02 PM. |
