We're on our way home. We filled up at lunchtime at the Carrefour at Cite Europe in Calais, 1.139 euros a litre for diesel, no issues with supply and no queues. Obviously this is a snapshot in time and no guarantee of future supply.

It was chucking it down at DLP as we left so hope it brightens up for those on their way there now.

No petrol news as came on the plane.

But weather news we got to the hotel about 12ish and it's chucked it down since. Good start to our holiday! Meant to be picking up abit from tomorrow hopefully

chucking it down = low crowd levels - get out there and enjoy it .

Arrived at Calais yesterday morning a bit nervous about the petrol situation but embarked on the 9 hour drive south, only one had no fuel, the others seemed to have plenty and didn't see any queues on forecourts either. So no problems here

Hi all, as others have said, we've come across nothing more than an odd station which is either closed or run out of unleaded but it's been rare. Weather has been unkind but, with the longest queue (Orbitron=always long) lasting a total of 15mins, we can definitely put up with the weather!

yup, we're all back now, drove at least 20 hours whilst in France and no problems to report whatsoever. Strange how the news bigs some things up while under-reporting others...
