My mum used to bring me random stuff when I walked abroad. 2 cans of Diet Coke - the flavour was never the same out of the UK. Many will think it’s sad but a little taste of home is wonderful!

Hiya f1, usually the immigration officer asks what you're importing, that said we weren't asked Nov 18 and 19, and it's not until a thread such as this that I realise *shrugs* - perhaps the DHS believe we're au fait re what we can import and thoroughly read DHS important notifications and applications, don't know the Brits then

You can import mayonnaise f1, be canny if the one your daughter likes was in a plastic jar but if it's Sainsbury's own brand perhaps not. It'll hopefully travel ok, when we're putting our case in the hold we bring back a glass bottle of Cafe Lolita and, to date, hasn't broken... wait for it, someone will say we can buy Kahlua in the UK now

Yes, they are small glass jars. I've read the link and can see I'm allowed to take it in. I'll be taking lots of Cadburys chocolate as well. I'm planning on taking a photo of all the food stuff I've packed in my case.

Shall I just show the Border Control officer at the desk, or only show it if they ask?

I think you can. We have shops full of foodstuffs everywhere in the UK, big ones and small ones. I thought I'd better point it out as many times I've read on here that there are shops in Florida, but have never heard it mentioned that there are shops in the UK. We have shops too .

Hi f1, as our imports don't cross our minds, consequently we only aswer what we're asked. Since we began wintering on Bokeelia our case is opened/searched at Atl afore being thrown on the Ft Myers flight, quite impressively one year, only had 70 mins atween flights, we/case made it! If you know what you're importing is on the list then don't fret, if travelling in-direct it'll go thro security/X-ray atween flights, if direct into MCO and you raise your imports they may send thro the X-ray machine after collecting your luggage.

You're going to be very popular with all that mayo and lots of chocolate, yum yum! US Cadbury's, made under licence by Hershey's, is truly disgusting, smells and tastes like vomit
