We'll fly from most places. Doncaster is the closest that goes to Barcelona but we don't mind where we go from.

But now per the DCL site, my cruise in pounds at its current listing price worked out at 1.6 compared to the dollar price, then I will save about £250 if they let me pay it that way.

I doubt they will say yes - but I will let you know the outcome of the call!
unfortunately as I booked through Dreams Unlimited they can only accept dollar payments, but they did say I could cancel and rebook direct with DCL - but it would have only saved me about £50 on our current cruise and I would have lost the $200 Dreams OBC - so I didn't bother, but I am considering booking my med cruise in pounds, so that I don't have the worry of the exchange rates!

Quick update. We are now booked to fly to humberside via Amsterdam. We are looking into excursions now and wondered if anyone on here is organising any trips? If so we would love to get involved. Is anyone doing FE's?
Also, can anyone advise on the best novotel to stay at and how to book (Internet, call or agent)?

Thanks in advance

Have you got kids? We've got three so we have got them in mind. I'll post on here with my findings about excursions.

Hi - we are booked on this cruise (as well as an 11-night one in May!), with our 3 kids (then 11, 9 and 6).

We are staying at the Novotel Barcelona City based on feedback here. It should offer you a special family rate with 50% off a second room, which makes it a good deal.

Check out the roll call thread here which shows that the following Dibbers are also on this cruise:

27th-Disney Dream, Med Cruise - jlbf06
27th- Disney Dream, Med Cruise - CLAIRESIMPSON
27th - Disney Dream, Med Cruise - Moodyblue
27th - Disney Dream, Med Cruise - thedors

At the moment we are planning to enjoy the ship rather than doing excursions.

Hi, thanks for that. We have just tried to book that hotel - 2 rooms for three nts and it doesn't give us the discount. How did you book it?

Also, did you have to pay up front too?

Put the dates in to book 1 room for 2 Adults and 2 Children (it can't handle more than 4 to a room). One of the rates it should give you is the Family second room rate. Just book it and you get 2 rooms each for up to 4 persons per room (i.e. max 8). As there are only 5 of you, its OK. Then book 2 Adult breakfasts. Breakfast is free for Children under 16 yrs of age.

No - your cc just guarantees the booking and its cancellable up to 6pm on the day of arrival.

It's EUR165 (=£142.89) per night for 3 nights for 2 rooms = EUR495 Total.

See screen prints.
