Yay! You finished the Kitchen Sink... well done to all of you, but especially Max - 7 bowls!

Those blue slushy cocktails at TL look fab, I'm partial to a blue drink

I'm glad you enjoyed HDD, but honestly I would be terrified at being picked on - kudos to your dad for joining in.

What a lot of credits you have left, you better get eating

Looking good. Those breakfasts at French quarter were fab.

I loved the simba sunset too but only had the non alcoholic one.

We’ve never been to typhoon lagoon but the foodvyou had there looks better than the stuff we had at blizzard beach a few years ago.

Satuli is always a good choice, what’s max like though, my ds is they same, they never listen then sulk about it later😂

Finally catching up after an exhausting weekend.

I don’t think any ‘real’ Signatures would have let Max’s charcuterie out of the kitchen looking like that, they genuinely have snapped a breadstick in half. Or perhaps the server dropped one and then improvised?! Such a mystery. That poor sad scallop isn’t even that big! Kate’s salmon looks lovely, a nice big portion, I think I’d have gone for that too.

I’m in awe of that HEA view, I know exactly where you are but I am not so sure during Party season we’d be lucky enough to get a spot there.

I feel like I want the colossal Mickey cinnamon roll just so I can take a picture of it, I don’t even really like cinnamon rolls haha.

I am gutted that Beaches and Cream is closed during our visit, I am so happy you defeated the Kitchen Sink, Max must have been so pleased. I have no idea how he wasn’t sick!

It’s quite scary when you see the cost of the meals isn’t it!? HDD just crazy for six adults without DDP. You got a great table; I’ve always been too scared to trump for Category 1 as Nik would be terrified of being picked on.

The breakfast flatbread looks great, perfect for sharing. The pancakes look fantastic, good enough to rival i-Hop!

Did Max not fancy the Cheeseburger Pods at Satuli?

Just caught up on your report and fab as always. You’ve all had some great choices and really making me miss the dining plan this year, although we must be real piggies as we always use all our credits.
Looking forward to your next couple of days as we arrive at Royal Pacific on Friday. We’ve only ever stayed at HRH and I still haven’t gotten over the fact that we’re not there, mainly for the frose by the pool. If you get a chance by the pool will you check to see if the do a frose as I, unlike you, love a cocktail that’s not too much of an oomph! 🤣
Enjoy universal.

Everything looks so good! We checked in Monday night at HRH, did Universal yesterday and a big chunk of IOA was so quiet! We are at IOA today to finish off then over to AKL tonight. Have a fantastic time at Universal 😁👍

Well done on the Kitchen Sink. 4 of us tried last year and had no chance - so upset it will be closed this year - will have to stick to the brownie sundaes on Main Street this time! Keep having fun and thanks again for doing this report - it's brilliant
I'm glad you're enjoying reading this year's report. We've had some great food. The extra steak was a lovely bit of pixie dust.

I did wonder how Max would fare at Satuli, bless him. What did you and mum think of the sangria? I wasn't too keen on it, I found it rather tart.

Typhoon Tilly's looks good too and I had to laugh at all the drinks xx
I'm not sure blue drinks are really my thing, the sangria was ok, I wouldn't go out of my way for it as there are so many other fab cocktails at AK. The drinks at Tillys were a bit much weren't they Also blue! Why all the blue?

That’s a good idea to get alcoholic drinks with each meal and use a snack credit for the kid’s drinks. Georgia doesn’t drink alcohol (and isn’t old enough anyway in the US) but my DH and I could share (fight over 😂 ) her extra drink. We could easily spare the snack credits for a water or fruit juice for Georgia as we had loads left for sweets at the end of our last trip
I didn't try the flat bread but Dave and Kate both loved it. We ended up managing to save some of the margaritas and bring them to universal with us, it's been great

Also impressed at you getting a margarita for later

The breakfast flat bread looked lovely and the meals at Satuli looked really good though I can’t believe the kids meal for Max was so tiny.

The Kings Cooler looks like the perfect park pick me up so that’s definitely going on my list
I've never tried the spiked dole whip before it was really yummy and I cannot wait to have another one, but I've got about 350 days to wait

You can have my share of the blue drinks then as I'm less partial to them. One day I will tell you about a teenage me drinking way too much blue 20 20 (also known as Mad Dog) and then being sick on the bus home not my finest hour xx

I didn't have a single meal at FQ that I thought was below par. They were all good the breakfast was fab. We tend to stick to Tillys at TL, but actually we did fairly well with BB this year too. Max sulk? Of course he did more because he hated that I was right I think

The Simba ice cream sandwich looked pretty cute. They all tasted good.

The breadstick inconsistency was funny, then the 2nd steak which fully redeemed the teeny tiny breadsticks. Kate did enjoy the salmon. The view of HEA was perfect I was really pleased. I'd wanted to watch it after CP but the weather was dreadful that day, we had run from shop to shop on main street to get there, good thing they are all linked. Anyway, we had a brilliant view after CRT though so that was great.

Max always claims he doesn't like cinnamon too that's why we have to get the chocolate croissant or elephant ears as well. He did do well with the sink didn't he? He doesn't seem to get sick with food, last year Kate was I'll over night before we went to WCC, do you remember? She stuck with salads and then had a huge piece of salmon at WCC. We tease her about it and she's been fine this year, i think she is now more aware of her limits.

We had the cheeseburger pods before and he didn't like them go figure! So he didn't want them this time either. I think he was just being stroppy as he wanted restaurantasuarus!

Last full day today. We moved to RPR yesterday. Took a little longer than I'd have liked to get here and check in but we did lots in US. Then this morning did IOA, lots of rides. It's pouring now and I'd like to go to the pool, fingers crossed the storm stops soon. Oh and Dad has had a cold for the last couple of days so unfortunately he's not feeling great.

Xx

Don't worry we managed to use all our credits you should see the pile of snacks we brought to universal with us! I'm hoping to get out to the pool this afternoon, we fly home tomorrow it's a storm outside at the moment but the weather app says it will stop in 34 minutes. I will look out for the Frose and keep you posted

I saw you today Abby! I was outside the toilets in Hogsmede and heard someone shout "kate" so I looked up as it's my name and it was Max shouting to Kate as she came out the loo, you were next to him and then marched off in the opposite direction before I had time to react! Hope youve had a great day.
