Kitchen fitter remarked on the splashback when he sorted out the missing waste pipe for the sink on Tuesday.
As for planning and research? Had never thought of that Yet was something we have spent so many years dreading and preparing ourselves for. Possibly the worst thing has been how smooth the whole thing has gone - you can see the thought of " We should have done this so much sooner " Yes we should, but current circumstances mean we can actually get it done. Kitchen walls lined and some of first coat painting done Getting to the really exciting stage - even my bit is nearly done

I know what you mean about appliances. Not a fan of built in for several reasons. Truth be known, we have already had to replace the washing machine. Broke down 3 times and almost set fire to the house.
Wouldnt recommend Beko! All the best finishing the rest off...you are not wrong about the rest of the house! It was a nightmare lol

That looks amazing! I completely understand how excited you must be. I have one week to go, end date is next Tuesday and I have butterflies in my tummy every time I think about it. Sparkly wall paper going up tomorrow!

That is lovely all ready in time for Christmas
We are currently having 9 doors and a drawer front replaced as the boning hasn't held and the doors look like they've got a huge air bubble on them. Not very happy as the kitchen is less than 4 years old but fortunately it's still under guarantee.
