Photobucket now charging other free photo thingies?

I’ve never paid for photobucket and only use it to upload photos here but now it’s trying to charge me.

Are there any other free photo hosting sites that I can use that work to post to places like this?

I have taken all mine down from there.

I suspect other sites might do the same.

The only place I post photos is Facebook or the Dibb, and you can do those direct.

Have they been messing again?

A couple of years ago they stopped hosting for free and broke all the pics in my trip reports. Then recently I noticed they were all back again (albeit with a watermark imposed over them).

ETA - My pics are still showing.

My more recent reports I've just uploaded onto here. Much easier actually.

Photobucket decided a year or so ago to allow free hosting again upto a certain bandwidth with photos water marked.

A few months ago, they messed around with my free account reducing the storage, even when deleting photos they did not reallocate the free space to my profile.

As a result, i downloaded the lot off there and deleted them and closed my account.

I took all mine off photobucket and put it on Flickr. Which now charges for more than 1000 photos, so I now need to move them again. Will upload directly on the dib this time

I know just use Google Photos to back up all my photos and as you say, use the websites storage for any photo uploads.
