We have flights booked with Tui this year and our booking says 5kg on the 12th May and 10kg on 29th September - so not sure - would be great if it's 10kg for both bookings. I've booked an extra 5kg each so hopefully we'll have enough.

Got to the airport and it wasn’t like that at all, it was a price per kg and it came to over $300 😂😂😂
So we were that family who sits in the airport trying to get more stuff out of the cases lol.

Managed to get it down to $50 excess but threw out loads of stuff that we needed/wanted to keep but were more likely to be replaceable back home.

They weighed our handluggage which they didn’t do on the way here. Mine was way over so had to put some stuff in my big suitcase so gotta home my breakables survive 😭
But, the stuff you dumped & will replace at home; will that cost more than £195 to buy again?
In which case, cheaper to pay the $300 charge.

Always pack and use digital scales at least 48 hours before coming home and book and pay for extra bag if needed usually is if we are not flying buiness lap tops iPads kindles etc go in hand baggage personal item
It’s the DILs Bath and Body / Hobby Lobby orders that kill us on the way home
We are taking Gs this time his mums orders ditch his clothes and use his duty free allowance / bag weight for this a list a mile long

Are you in Premium? That makes a difference. Have checked on the TUI website and its saying on 5kg hand luggage. Its says in the smaller print 10g for babies under 2 but that is in hold luggage

TUI have upped their standard hand luggage to 10kg for flights after 1st May. I saw it on their FB page as my mum and dad fly with them on Wednesday and their boarding passes state 10kg hand luggage. This is just a normal holiday flight to Menorca, not premium flights or premium hotel.

Were going on a TUI cruise & flying TUI in July and our hand luggage still says 7kg. No update to say it'snow going to be 10kg.

This is why I fly out with minimal stuff.

4 of us going out with 3 cases (not full and one cabin bag inside a big case)

Will come home with 4 cases and cabin case

No - we're in economy on both flights, but the email confirmination says 10kg on the September 19 flights - I was quite suprised.
