Mobile Hotel pools

Morning all. We have booked SL for 3 nights in March 2021.

There was only £50 difference in price between SL and Newport bay. Having stayed at neither before (previously stated at Cheyenne and Santa Fe) we were splitting hairs between which to book. The refurb didn't bother us so we went for SL as it was slightly cheaper.

I have read on a Facebook forum that the pool at SL is freezing. Can anybody confirm if this is the case and also can anybody confirm if the temperature of the pool at Newport bay is any better?

All the DLP pools used to be absolutely freezing so we were preparing for the worst when we went in February but the SL pool was actually lovely and warm! It made for a very nice relaxing break from the park.

Thank you. I was swithering on whether to change our hotel or not but will just leave it as it is.

They did a refurbishment on the SL pool April 19 (was shut when we were there) so the temperature may have been sorted with that?

I was there between the 12th and 15th of February and the SL pool was cold.

IIRC the temperature display in the pool area showing the water temperature as 29 which is quite cold.

I know a couple who stayed at Newport Bay in December and they said it was also cold in the pool.

We were at SL half term and I have to contradict Happy Panda - it was freezing!

How strange! We went on the Saturday afternoon (22nd), I'd already prepared the girls for it being cold but we couldn't believe how nice and warm it was! We got talking to a family in the pool and they said they were surprised how warm it was too as they'd read reports of it being so cold. We must have been lucky then.

Odd! We only went in once. Too cold for us. Maybe just a one off and we picked a bad day.

It's a French thing. All pools are cool. It's regulations. I can't remember the exact temp but it feels cold for Brits.
