Heathrow hotel / parking options
Hi All,
What’s people’s thoughts on the best options for hotels and parking at Heathrow for T3? Can get a premier inn nice and cheap for the night before travel, but worried about parking websites based on scary stories about speeding fines / vehicle damage from cowboy companies. Are meet and greets outside the terminal any better? Also worried that at 6am, I’m likely to commit some kind of ANPR captured offence by trying to navigate from the hotel to a parking site by ending up down the wrong street or something. All advice welcome! |

We've flown from terminal 3 a few times. We book the premier inn on the bath road and then book purple parking separately which is literally next door to the premier inn. DH drops us all at the hotel with luggage, drives next door tot he purple parking multi storey then nips through the hedge to walk back to hotel. In the morning we just pay £5 each ( children free) to catch the H6 hopper bus to terminal 3. On return we use the purple parking free transfer back to the carpark.

Equally the 105 or 111 London bus stops right outside the hotel and I either free or 1.50 per adult to the Heathrow bus station (which has easy walking access to the terminals)
I think it's free as most buses on the bath road corridor are free, but I know there is a point at which they start charging and for a "Heathrow" hotel the PI is a distance away compared to some of the other hotels (still only 5-10 minutes though) |

We have booked Premier Inn at T4 and T2/3 Long stay car park. Fly from T3 next day. We did this last summer for our trip to Florida and again this summer. It works well for us. We drop the bags at hotel then take the car to Long stay self park, keep the keys etc. then get the bus back to T2/3 then the train back to T4 to hotel. We booked really early, when we booked flights 9 months out, hotel £34 and car park 16 nights £76.
Then in morning take the covered walk way from Premier inn to T4 and then train back to T2/3. So easy, we did it last year, group of 8, aged 10 to 74, used a luggage trolley in hotel to take cases as far as T4 train so not difficult. Kids also enjoyed a walk as were excited. On return we take the free transfer bus from T3 to Long stay. Edited at 09:41 AM. |

We have booked meet and greet through the Heathrow airport website. We are flying out of terminal 3 and return into terminal 5 so this way our car will be waiting for us at the correct terminal (hopefully 😂. Think it was about £170 off the top of my head x

Using Car Park Secure £100 for 2 weeks, inc £1.50 cancellation cover.
You take car to short start in the multi storey (we are in T3), and leave it with them, collect same place on return. Did this couple of years ago - but different company - works well. We got the Prem Inn at Bath Road at good rate, so will park their and drop off next morning.

We stayed at The Crowne Plaza Heathrow (not the new one by the terminal) and used their Park, Stay and Go rate. We booked through the IHG website
Worked out pretty cheap and is a nice hotel. We used the Hoppa to get to the airport. I would definitely do this again
if you are worried about cowboy companies ensure that you only book through the official channels and avoid the "too good to be true" offers from the unscrupulous operators.[/QUOTE
Helpful! Go on then - who are the official channels and who are the cowboys? |
Official channels are the airports trusted providers, often available on their websites or through the large brokerage companies and sold as linked to the airports. The more unscrupulous companies are the ones who offer prices well below what's available through the aforementioned channels
