Mobile Visiting Santa

Has anyone actually done it? What does it entail? We go next week and I'm in two minds about queuing to see him and whether it is worth it. (Also where is he located?!)

Anyone else going when schools break up next week? It's getting exciting!

we are a few days from going. Last time we did santa was a few years ago. The grotto was located in the corner of Adventure land (where the old petting area used to be), Now he lives near "Meet Micky Mouse" - I think the old location was nicer. You queue and meet santa surround by cast elves. Photo opportunities and a chat with Santa. The queues used to be quite long.

Thanks for the info. I'm still in two minds. I guess I might rather spend the time doing things which are unique to DLP rather than santa.

The visit santa was good, dont get me wrong and i think the kids got an experience out of it. But as you say there are other things to do in the park; it wasnt THAT special (Santa Stitch would have been muuuuuch better).

Santa Goofy would be more fun if he is around.

We’ve just got back. We didn’t see Santa as the queues were 70 minutes all day every day and we had plans to see Santa when we got home anyway. And we saw him in the parade. Santa Goofy was at the entrance to the studios park every day and Santa stitch was near Casey’s Corner.

We are just back & met him. It was a 3 hour queue in the morning so we tried later on again about 4pm & only waited 25 mins. He’s located in mickeys house he was great! The cast member asks where you’re from & a few other things do she can tell Santa before you go into meet him. We met Santa goofy & Santa Stitch too! All good fun!

We met Santa near Meet Mickey Mouse - there were two queues, one for Mickey and one for Santa (going in a side door) - the Santa queue moved much more slowly than the Mickey queue, and much more slowly than we were told - they told us it would be less than an hour when we joined the queue during EMT, but I think we waited just over two hours. It was an experience I wanted the girls to have, so we went with it.

We liked the interaction and bought a lovely photo, and I particularly liked that a CM collected a few details from us before we went in, to help Santa recognise the children when we walked in. It was a shame that it was the only meet we did where the character didn’t look towards my camera when I asked if I could take a couple of photos once the official photographer had finished doing his. (The CM said I could, and the girls looked towards me, but Santa stayed turned away towards the official photographer.)

Maybe if the queue isn't too long then we'll go. Exciting to see photos! Love the christmassy ears.

I'll be wearing a vintage Christmas hat with Mickey ears circa 1995 when I last went at Christmas time.

We tell the kids tomorrow! It's their early Christmas present.

We didn’t bother as we had done a Christmas train with Santa here a few days before our trip. We did meet Santa Goofy and Stitch though as well as Olaf which were all great 👍🏻
