Disney's Hollywood Studios 30th Anniversary, new park offerings set to inspire guests to visit more than ever. Disney’s Hollywood Studios will mark a thrilling park milestone on 1 May, 2019 – 30 years of bringing magical entertainment to life for Walt Disney World Resort guests.

The park will celebrate its 30th anniversary on May 1 with an anniversary ceremony and the debut of the new nighttime projection show, "Wonderful World of Animation" after the sun goes down. The new show will use state-of-the-art projection technology to take guests on a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation, all beginning with Mickey himself.

Presumably that ceremony will require paid attendance to the after hours event? It'd be nice to participate in HS' 30th anniversary but $1000 for the 8 of us to stay late in a park that doesn't need a full day to begin with isn't all that appealing... :/

No, it’ll be available for everyone.

The closing time at 9pm is just when the queues for the rides close and they stop letting people into the park. Normal guests will still be able to watch this new projection show at 9:05pm and the Star Wars fireworks afterwards.

The paid after hours event starts at 9:30pm.
