Will We Actually Get There 2019 - Day 10 - Typhoon Lagoon & Medieval Times

Up at a leisurely pace today and had breakfast, We arrived at Typhoon Lagoon a little before 10am. Interestingly today Disney decided we did qualify for disabled parking, so we parked up just in front of the park entrance. We were in as it opened and got some sunbeds close to the lockers and near the pool where crush n gusher comes out. We also managed to get a bed on the edge for my auntie so we didn't have to manhandle the wheelchair across the sand.

My auntie and uncle aren't big on water parks so spent most of the day sunbathing. DH, DD and BIL are all water mad so went off to do the rides, think they managed to do them all except the biggest one. Then they headed to the wave pool. Me and mum did a couple of the raft rides and then floated a couple of laps of the lazy river before retiring to the sunbed.

We had lunch from the main food place, who's name I have forgotten, I had chicken quesadillas, then I had some Dippin Dots and DD had an ice cream, she wore most of it.

After lunch DH and BIL decided to go and do the big rides so I said I would take DD with me on a few rides. We went on the raft rides and then floated round the lazy river. She's a much better swimmer than me i'm ashamed to admit.

We then headed to the wave pool where I picked a spot where I thought we'd be OK about waist deep. DD was fine, I was not, I imagined the wave gently rolling over me at about shoulder depth, not slamming into the back of my head and pushing me under. Anyway DD was very amused.

At about half 2 we headed back to the villa. We were at the 6pm show for Medieval Times. We have never been before, years ago we used to go and see Arabian Nights when it was on but since that shut haven't been to any dinner shows.
The food was lovely, starter was tomato soup with garlic bread that you drank out of the bowl, then main course was half a roast chicken nearly with baked potato and sweetcorn, pudding was caramel ice cream. You have to eat with your hands (except for the ice cream) but that didn't bother us.

The show was good and as someone who has horses I appreciated the level of training, however I also spent a good part of the evening picking apart the horses outfits, they would not have had rubber over reach boots in medieval times! . Each section was assigned a knight to cheer for, we were in the green section. At one point each knight had to hand a sash on the end of their lance to someone in the audience as Queen of the Tournament and DD was very pleased to be given the green sash.

On the way home we stopped at Walmart for milk, yoghurt & bananas, it took nearly and hour, Walmart was absolutely mental!

Medieval Times looks interesting, a nice end to a great day at Typhoon Lagoon...well apart from the craziness of Walmart.
