Any advice on the best suitcase type and size to fit inside each other?

Any advice on the best type and size to fit one case inside the other for the trip out?

Planning on possibly a teeny wee bit of shopping, so was thinking about taking 2 cases out, one inside the other. is this an easy thing to do?

Has anyone got advice on the best type and size to do this?
or should i just buy a case when I am there?

I use Tripp...soft bodied cases.
I have a large one...I put a medium one inside that and then my cabin case inside that one.

I pack light on the way out..

I got mine from Cheshire Oaks, but Debenhams always have offers on Tripp cases.

Happy shopping..

I am a big fan of the tripp soft body cases too but on a recent trip our cases got caught in a rain storm en route from the plane to the baggage reclaim and all our clothes were soaking so we are now thinking of investing in a set of American Tourister cases which are currently £99 from Costco online

We do this. I have two Tripp ones from Debenhams and the smaller one fits inside the larger one.

My advice would be to buy the same make but in different sizes. And check it fits inside too.

Shall I admit that even with not bringing any toiletries home, we still end up with the extra case and an extra hold-all too!

We have a folding hold-all with wheels on one end. It was from Target or Walmart. Folds up small for travelling out but turns into a full size bag for the return.

I also take a soft large Tripp suitcase and put a soft medium Tripp inside . I will be taking both next week so we can bring 2 cases back each .The medium ones still can hold 23kg .

The super light weight soft one Matalan well every year work well for this if you get a big one and the next size down.

Another vote for Tripp, we put a mid size case in a large one.
We have hard cases which are extra lite.

thanks everyone for the advice
was in B and M today and they have 20% off their suitcases
i bought a large IT soft shell case and 1 IT medium - which fits inside the large. they are plenty big and light but do have a soft shell so a little bit of protection and 4 spinner wheels
for the price i paid i am happy if they just survive this trip - there and back as i have paid for one case what i paid for these 2
