Ditto. That “maybe one day “ happened for us in 2016 after daydreaming since 1998. Best Disney holiday ever.

I've stayed at both AKL and BC twice each before, and we've just booked for next year at BC. Whilst AKL is an amazing resort, the second time we went back (2016) we found that the transport was nowhere near as good as previous and it was taking us a long time to get back to the hotel, especially at night after eating at Epcot. To be honest it put a bit of a damper on the whole thing. The beauty of BC aside from the great pool is the wonderful location. Nothing better than being able to walk out of a restaurant in Epcot and walk back to your hotel in the same time it would take you to fight your way out and into a queue for a bus. It's a great place to stay!

I am torn between Yacht Club and Beach Club as we really want a balcony and I am concerned that we won't get one at BC as YC has them as standard - Are we really likely to not get a balcony at BC please?

We stayed in October and were desperate for a balcony. We did a touring plans request. We did get a balcony. I have to say I think we stepped on it twice in a week. We have just booked to go back and I don't think I'll be as worried this time.

Beach Club has full balconies but only on floors 2 and 4 (the top), and also these rooms tend not to be facing the lake.
We have requested full balcony both at time of booking and requested via touring plans (faxed today), so I’ll know soon if we have got this. it was on the invoice acknowledgment from WDW but it also stated that it cannot be guaranteed.

As a matter of preference though, it would be YC for me every time, it’s a bit more ‘grown up’ and quieter generally than BC. I would say BC for families with younger children and YC for adults. The only downside of the YC is that it often is full of conventioneers and they can take over
