Our DD has to use a wheelchair she uses the buses which she does not have to pay for she as free bus pass usually the bus driver just lets her on without her getting the pass out, but there is a System one Travel ticket its £8.80 for bus & Tram for a one day anytime of day. Not sure about the trams if they are free and she is not at home at the moment to ask her. She does manage quite well for travelling to and from Manchester on public transport. She has used the trams from Bury to Manchester.
