What time should we arrive for rope drop?

That is good news and glad you enjoyed it. We did FOP in December and my son and his girlfriend want to do it in September, and it sounds like it's worth getting there at 7.45am. So what time did they let you into the park and was there much running or pushing/shoving to get in line?

They let us in just after 8 and people started running. Not me, I don’t run 😂😂😂
I walked fast though and then they stopped us at the entrance to the pandora area for 5-10 mins then a group of cast members walked the crowd to the ride. There was no pushing in at this point, you were where you were.

We literally then just walked onto the ride and was off by 8.50.
As I said though, by the time we got off the queue was reaching Africa. It had gone over the bridge that leads to Africa and under the tunnel and out the other side

This is exactly what we did in October. We’re hoping for a fast pass in November but if we’re not lucky we’ll be doing the early start again.

I’d definitely go for rope drop rather than at closing time which is what others suggested.

Once we were through the main gates and got held at the entrance to the pandora area, this was the crowd in front of me.

The crowd behind me was twice as big lol

Really glad you got to ride without much of a wait, I love FOP! We were late for rope drop when we went last year and ended up in Africa in the queue. We stuck it out and it was constantly moving and took about an hour, I think less people go through FP line first thing so it did move quickly for how many people there were in front of us!

Very true, the fast pass queue wasn’t even open when we left the ride because the park wasn’t officially open
