For details of discounts etc I've downloaded an app called mouseperks. If you're after Pandora it was 20% in the parks but only 10% in Disney Springs.

With the price - its approximately the price difference between a 14 day ticket and the current ticket minus what ever random algorithm they use to calculate the USD price of the 14 day ticket. I've worked out approx its the cost of another 14 day ticket and will use this as my baseline for purchasing when I go in September and look to upgrade. This year we purchased the annual pass directly but I have free dining in September so had to do the 14 day ticket.

In terms of magic bands, we didn't use our AP magic bands at all last year. They all link to the same account so you can use either. You also get an AP card that you need to show to get the discounts.

The Bands come in the old style box not like the toilet roll tube the normal ones come on!

The booklet that gives full details ref discounts is in the box as well. Plus you can download it from the AP website if you wish.

The free magnets are very good but to normally get the set you need to be there twice in 2 or 3 months. For example we have the March magnet but the second in the series comes out late April which we will get when there in May.

So, if you are going to Florida twice in a 12 month period you wouldn't really save anything. Thanks, very useful

Well thats not kind of true, you save on parking so therefore depending on how many days you go to the parks you do save and obviously you save on food and merchandise with the discount so overall it makes sense to have one AP in your party. Whether it makes sense for everyone is another question. Parking I think is around £25-28 per day so it soon adds up!

Can I use the free Disney $200 voucher/gift card towards the cost of upgrading?

I discovered today that the daily free mini golf (Fantasia gardens or winter/summer land) isn’t included on the AP but you do get 10% off

I am thinking of upgrading just my ticket if possible whilst we are there in August. We are not planning another trip within the year but if there is free parking plus discounts on food and other items it may work out cheaper. DH and DD are going to a water park but not me so I could upgrade mine for the cheaper price hopefully. What do people think? We would save approx. $250 on the parking alone staying offsite and we have a meal booked at California Grill so the savings would add up.
