Mobile Virgin - no ticket reference!

I’ve tried searching this query but can’t find exactly what I need! We booked a package through virgin and are staying offsite (first time we’ve booked a package in a long time! Never have had this much trouble when booking diy!) Then we Independently booked a night in a Disney hotel so we could get the 60 day fast passes. Now I’ve paid up in full with virgin i thought I’d get my Disney reference to link with my Disney experience app but been told today that we only get our reference 30 days in advance! I just assumed it would be like booking your tickets with an agent where they send you the reference as soon as you pay up? Can they refuse to give me the reference number?

It comes at 32 days as you are technically off-site.

Call them and explain and ask if you can have it sooner not sure if they can refuse but maybe they don’t by them until 32 days out.

The reference we used to link to MDE, having booked with Virgin, is the Virgin Holiday reference which will be on your paperwork from them.

You will only be able to book Fast-passes at 60 days for your check-in and check-out dates at Disney. The rest can be booked at 30 days.

But she can’t because if you are off-site then you don’t get your ticket ref until 32 days before departure.

Might be worth asking them to take the tickets off the booking and then you can buy from Disney ?

I’ve paid for the tickets now so don’t think they would give us our money back! And we got a really good deal! Think I will ring again tomorrow and ask again and see if I can speak to someone who can give me a straight answer! Bit disappointing as it means we would have no hope of getting any of the big new rides ( this is what happened us last yr!)

I asked several times last year for the Disney reference - I was getting antsy that they wouldn’t link properly or in time for 30 day fast passes - but Virgin were adamant that they weren’t going to give me it early. (It did all link ok).
I can’t see that your independent hotel booking is anything to do with them

I don’t know if this is different for offsite but our Virgin ref number has never been the same as the Disney reference number

I was just having the same thought, my parents are staying off site with Virgin but I have booked them on night on site so they can use the EMH and 60 day fast passes. Sounds a pain, let me know if you manage to get the reference!

Exactly the same problem for us. We’ve booked a package through Virgin including Disney tickets. We were looking at booking a one night stay at a Disney hotel through hotels.com and Tesco Clubcard points. However it’s all too complicated so have given up. Not sure how hotels.com booking will link to MDE, won’t get our ticket reference for booking fast passes from Virgin until 30 days so won’t be able to take advantage of 60 days fastpasses for the hotel stay. Also if we wanted to take advantage of the 6am extra magic hours, how would we check in and they know we’re Disney guests without picking up our magic bands. Too complicated ! Have given up. Never mind. Going to relax and enjoy my holiday anyway.

We had the same problem with Virgin last year. I cancelled my tickets from my package and they refunded them in full, then booked tickets directly with Disney.
