Renewing passports now Brexit delayed

Hi all - we go to Spain in August and DHs and youngest DDs passports run out in Jan. I was going to have to renew if we left EU in March (for the 6 months) but not sure now - is there a chance we will leave with no deal before October?

Here is advice on passport agency

If the UK leaves the EU without a deal on 31 October 2019, new rules will apply.

You should have at least 6 months left on an adult or child passport to travel to most countries in Europe (not including Ireland).

If you renewed your current passport before the previous one expired, extra months may have been added to its expiry date. Any extra months on your passport over 10 years may not count towards the 6 months needed.

What do you think?

Actually found some more info which means I don’t have to?

Visit Europe after Brexit
There would be changes if you visit the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland and the UK leaves the EU without a deal.

It would mean that from 31 October 2019, the rules for passports, driving, EHIC cards, pet travel and more would change. Check if you need to act now to make sure you can travel as planned.

There would be no immediate changes to travel if the UK agrees a deal to leave the EU. The rules would be the same until at least 2020.

It all depends on whether we leave with a deal and what that says.

If you like certainty then renew, otherwise see what happens.
