Will We Actually Get There 2019 - Day 11 - Islands of Adventure

We set off from the villa today about 8. The traffic was terrible and we didn't arrive until 9.20. We paid for Prime parking in King Kong.
The plan was to get the wet rides out of the way first then wander around the rest of the park. As we walked in Puss in Boots was meeting and Greeting so we stopped to see him and his companion (Mrs Boots? ).

Then we carried on through Marvel area on way to Popeye and Blutos Barges and on the way stopped for a photo with Captain America.

Made it to the barges which was a walk on. Well we got soaked, I don't think I had a dry part on me when we got off, and DH and DD definitely didn't as the photo shows.

Carrying on with the wet rides we headed to Dudley Do Rights next. Got completely soaked again. I enjoyed this but BIL and uncle who are tall found it uncomfortable.

Then to complete the trio of wet rides we headed to Jurassic Park. DD is a big Jurassic Park fan and loved this ride, until the T-Rex appeared! We didn't get as wet on this, not that it mattered with how soaked we were.

We then had an early lunch at the café above the Discovery Centre.
We then carried on around the park and wandered through Hogsmead, unfortunately for me, there were no Dobby merchandise to be found. Spent a good bit of time wandering around so DD could use her interactive wand.

We then carried on round and walked through the Lost Continent.
When we got to Seuss Landing me, mum, DH and DD went on the High In The Sky Trolley Train whilst the others caught some rays.

On the way out through the sweet shop we stopped for a cupcake, I had a cat in the hat one, yummy but sickly, it didn't last long enough to be photographed.
We continued to walk round towards Hulk, DH and BIL went on this single rider.
While we were waiting DD met King Julian and Alex off Madagascar and we went into the little arcade where she won tickets to swap for tat!

After this DH took DD back to Seuss Landing to do Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish and the Carousel. Auntie and uncle had a walk around the shops and me, mum and BIL went on Spiderman.
We all met up near the entrance and then wandered out through the shops.

We went to Rock & Brews for tea. The food here was delicious however the service was terrible. They forgot one of the starters and then lied about forgetting it, then the main courses arrived as we were still eating the appetizers. Headed back to the villa and bed.
