We have one for our cats. My cat was really poorly last year so my husband bought one so I could get the cat to the vets quickly if needed (we live about a 5 minute walk).

I’ve never had to use it but during the time we kept it out in the house for the cats to get used to it they used to get in there to go to sleep. I took one of them out in it once and nobody looked twice. I was actually speaking to a neighbour and he didn’t realise.

My dog, Tilly is 19 now and still full of beans. We go for walks every weekend and walk 2-5 hours at a time so when the time comes that Tilly can’t keep up with us I would certainly get her a doggy push chair. I would feel guilty leaving her alone at home for long periods and she would be able to have a sniff around, a little walk then go back in the push chair for a rest.
Yes it will probably look a bit strange but I don’t care, my dogs health and quality of life matters more.

That is an impressive doggy being 19 and still full of beans.

You are right in saying that your doggie health/welfare comes first. Since we lost our other cocker just over a year ago our girl cocker howls like hell when left on her own for even 5 minutes. We don't leave her very often on her own, and never for more than 2-3 hours maximum at a time. In fact she's cost me a fortune because I can only work when my wife works at home a couple of days a week because I feel guilty leaving her (mind you I'm semi retired and lazy so it's not such an issue).

We also feel guilty for leaving our dog, usually one of comes in and one goes out, just took her to drop of a parcel and then to McDonald’s and sat outside and got her a cheeseburger, She’s only 6 and she’s a pampered pooch x

We used to go out in the hills with our dog and sometimes took my MILs ancient small poodle. We used to put him in a bag when he got tired with each of us holding a handle and he would pop his head out the top. He loved it.

We didn’t feel daft!

There are some fabulous designer dog carriers in Pet Smart.

I can't afford designer items because I'm just a poor man from a poor family sparing my life from this monstrosity.

I used to pull my children around in a Radio flyer cart. Does that seem wrong? 😀

It looks very sweet, but pushing a dog in a buggy doesn't quite have the same aww factor as 2 little kids in a cart
