A term time, post uni trip to Salou. October 2019. Day 2, La Pineda and Salou

Sunday 6th October

A lazy start to the morning, we woke after 8 and it was already a lovely morning.
Breakfast was so good.

We had a Diet Coke from the bar and then walked to Bus plana to top up our bus travel card.
It was €12 for 10 trips. I also asked about the bus to the airport on the way home, she gave me the Barcalona details and when I said I needed Reus she snapped at me, I asked you, so we legged it out of there and waited for the La Pineda bus opposite.
It took about 5 minutes to come and it’s a short journey there.
We had a walk along the seafront, the beach was already getting busy.

It’s so pretty with lots of nice hotels but too quiet for us to consider staying there.
We got the bus back and went straight into Salou.
We had a look in the tacky shops and got a bucket hat for Dd, she has a few and wears them on her nights out. It was €4.
We came across an alcohol shop and saw these miniatures for €1.50 each.

I tried to work out how many I could fit in my hand luggage.
Then it was back to the hotel for a light lunch.

Lots of football was on so we walked back into Salou to watch the games and have a little pub crawl.

I love the little nibbles they bring out with the drinks.
We saw the second half of Chelsea v Southampton then moved pubs to The red lion for the first half of Man United v Newcastle.

I needed some painkillers but supermarkets don’t sell them and pharmacies are closed on Sundays. I asked at the next pub, Last orders and he gave me some from behind the bar, bless him. They were huge though.

Newcastle won and Matt said it’s the poorest Man U team he has ever seen.
Back to the hotel to get ready.
Another rubbish selfie

Someone offered to take a photo of us.

Then we went for dinner.

The entertainment was a quiz on the kahoot app which was good fun. It was a big screen with the questions and we had to join to play. We had never payed it before and we had 3 games. We were top of the leader board on the first game until the end.
Then it was onto the Apple bar for a disco. It was pretty rubbish though so we just went to bed.

Wasn’t the weather gorgeous? I bought some of the little miniatures as gifts for our son and his fiancée for looking after our dog, they were very pleased with them. Lots of different drinks to choose from 😀

I miss that weather! Nothing but rain since we came home.
I ended up getting 8 bottles of miniatures, they all fit in the hand luggage little plastic bag as well.
4 for Dd and 4 for Xmas presents for friends.

We miss the weather too, all we have done is complain about the cold and the rain since we returned 😢
