Anyone stayed at the Hollywood Orchid Suites
We have changed our hotel when in LA to Orchid Suites and was wondering if anybody had stayed here and what their experience of it was.

We stayed here for 3 nights last year. The hotel is in great location for sseing what you want to see in LA. Its old and outdated but was clean and the rooms were large and the aircon worked..the pool was nice too. If they ever refurbish this hotel theyd make a mint!
Not the most luxurious place but Id stay again. |

i agree with it not being luxurious... have you seen the pictures on trip advisor
i know LA's an expensive place but i wouldn't pay what they're asking to stay there - for a little bit more you can get a nicer place. I'm a budget traveller if you like and don't look to stay in flash/expensive hotels when i'm hardly going to be in them but i've ruled out staying here already on our next stay. Just out of interest where were you staying?

We stayed there last year and thought it was good, location suited us (probably wouldn't for future trips to LA so doubt we'd stay there again) and I actually though the rates were pretty reasonable for what you get, what with the room size, kitchen and included secure parking and compared to other hotels in the area. Yes it could do with a refurb but TBH I think they're already doing pretty well as is and that's why they haven't bothered, they were fully booked for the next month at least during our stay and it wasn't a particularly busy time of year (September-October)

Havent stayed there, but we have booked the holiday Inn express which is about a 5 minute walk from the Hollywood & highland centre, Its a new hotel only opened may 2008 and looks very decent for the price and location. We have payed £125 per night

We stayed there last year and thought it was a great location! The rooms were large and clean and there is parking underneath the hotel and a swimming pool. It was really easy to find and excellent access to the highway. You are about 50m from the back entrance to the mall and at the front of the mall is a metro station which is one stop away from Universal.
We stayed there because we wanted a 2 bedroom suite and the rates were very good compared with other hotels offering the same.

Yes that's me. I thought I recognised you too. I try all sites for reassurance. I also had looked at Holiday Inn and had decided on it when we first booked our holiday and at that time is was about £70ish a night, but when I went to book the price had jumped. You also have to pay for parking there |
