Yes, it's free entry. Not sure many have found the exit

Thanks all, I would love to see it. Might ask at the entrances if they will let me in to have a look, all sound fascinating.

A very creepy cult, they own a lot of real estate around Clearwater and Tampa. But being nosey one trip we will go investigating, sadly there are too many cults here.

I expect it will be highly unlikely. I've done a bit of reading about them. My understanding is that generally speaking they're highly secretive. There are places dotted around the world where you can go in, but usually to do one of their 'personality tests'. No matter how you answer these tests, by the way, you will be sold some courses that you 'need' to complete, and each course costs $$$. And that's how it begins. I've read harrowing accounts of people's experiences within and trying to leave the organisation. If you want to read about it, google 'operation clambake'. I'd recommend you read some of it before you ask for a look around by the way. If you want to read first hand experiences there are some books that have been written (and suppression attempts made), such as "A piece of blue sky". I've read some of Hubbard's later Science Fiction. which is so bad it's unintentionally funny, in an Ed Wood 'Plan 9 from outer space' kind of way. He was also reported to have said "Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous. If a man really wanted to make a million dollars, the best way to do it would be start his own religion" in 1948 or 1949. If you want a picture of the building, I'd invest in a telephoto lens... |
