Beaches
Going in August and intend to spend 1 or 2 days at the beach. Don't want to stay overnight and don't mind the drive.
Options would be the obvious like Cocoa, Daytona, St Petes, Clearwater. Any advice or recommendations. thanks |

Clearwater is lovely - easy to park by the beach, lots of places to eat, a beautiful beach and options to have a boat ride (the Seascreamer is fantastic). You must watch the sunset too, it truly is beautiful

Clearwater
I've only ever been to Clearwater but couldnt recommend it enough as there is lots to do. If you are a fan of dolphins i would suggest taking a boat ride on "little toot" which is only $20 each and the dolphins chase the boat and show off - its a thrill to watch. Also there are a lot of activities to do in regards to water sports like jet skiing etc. There are a few restaurants and bars along the beach as well as plenty of loungers etc if you are just looking to sunbathe.

Thanks.
We are now thinking of doing Busch Gdns then staying overnight and going down to clearwater for the day before heading back to Orlando. Looked at the dolphin spotting, seems it could be worth a go. |
