I’ve had real flu and it was horrendous. Both Husband and I had it at the same time, we survived on bottled water! Mine turned into pneumonia, I was off work for three weeks and went back on reduced timetable as I was so weak I couldn’t manage full time. I have the flu jab every year now, I’ll do anything to reduce the chances of it happening again.

wife got it and her arm was swollen and hot, day after she had a rash on her chest and was hot. Itchy for 2-3 days with the rash and the heat.

Member of our bar staff had it yesterday chest is red and theyre hot also in same place.

Seems this years jab is causing some issues on delivery

Based on what scientific evidence? Two people? The flu jab is an important part of keeping people safe.

My mum got hers on 21st October. Her arm was very bruised, swollen and painful. The bruising and swelling has gone but it’s still tender. GP thinks it’s a reaction from the jab and to apply ibuleve. My dad and I have had it with no side effects thankfully.

I find it odd that some people would rather run the risk of getting a dry hacking cough, high fever, sore throat, shaking chills, severe muscle or body aches, headache, severe fatigue that may last for weeks, nausea and vomiting, rather than a sore arm and a potentially low grade reaction to a vaccine. Baffling.

I sort of agree however I had the jab about 3 weeks ago and at the weekend got all of the above except the severe fatigue (although I’m still tired now 4 days on).
But I know I just had a very heavy cold, and I think that’s where misconception in others come from. Until you get flu properly you don’t truly understand what it does to you, I’m immunosuppressed so high risk and flu almost killed me.

So I agree, the reactions (unless diagnosed as allergic reaction) are minor in comparisson.

Part of the problem is that this is the time of the year people can get unwell. However if that happens just after they have had the flu jab they incorrectly tie the two things together and then inform all their friends that the jab is bad for you.

Its the same as happened with the MMR jab and we are now reaping the downside of that with increases in Measles etc.

Health authorities are not creating vaccines that they know have a high chance of severe side-effects but hiding that fact from the public.

Same here - not even a hot arm or painful spot etc
Well worth the “scratch”

No after effects for me either. DH decided he didn’t want one. A couple of days later he has come down with a heavy cold and hacking cough. I’m sure if he had had the jab he would have blamed that for his virus. You know what they say... if you think you have the flu you have a cold. 🤧 If you think you are dying you have the flu 😷
