My two DD's did this last month and it was so worth getting up early and dragging them to the park for 8.30.

In hindsight we should have done this at the start of the hols when you are up a silly o'clock but when they first watched the show they were a little nervous about meeting Darth Vader - there is something intimidating about him even to adults - but by the 2nd week they had worked up more courage!

We were there for 8.30 and the queue was massive! We made it onto the 11.30 show which I think was the 3rd one of the day.

They allow 15 children per show and you're given a time slot so if on a later show you could leave the park and come back.

Once all the places are taken they advise you can call back 15 mins before each show to see if there are any no shows, however, I would not recommend this as it was heart breaking to see the kids turn up for another chance only to be turned away again - some of the children were inconsolable!

I have to say this was definitely one of the highlights of the holiday as my eldest DD is Star Wars mad!

We also did one of the photos images in the gift shop at the ride exit and this was hilarious. The photo stand pride of place and is a talking point with anyone who visits

This was the highlight of our hols back in 2008, when DS was 10 and DD 7. That was when they were still picking children randomly out of the audience.

DD was picked first time and took another 3 visits for DS to be picked - but was it worth it! He wore a bright blue Dr Who t-shirt to be a bit different and stand out, but the US kids with the huge roll out poster were picked first (if I'd have known they had the poster up their sleeve I would have moved!) but as soon as the Jedi Master said "boy in the blue t-shirt" he was up on the stage in a flash. I was soooo pleased for him I was shaking taking the photos!
