Walking to Blizzard Beach from Coronado

I've just read that you can easily walk to BB from CSR. Has anyone tried this? I'm excited by the prospect of not having to wait for buses for one of the parks and getting there exactly when I want to!

easily walk ... err ... there is a sidewalk alright , and that's rare enough to mention.

but ... walking for over 30 minutes in august heat ... that's far from my definition of "easy" ...

It’s not that far from the Coronado entrance, in my view. BUT the resort is massive so unless you’re staying at the front of the resort, it’s quite a long way.
But this comes from someone who walks Saratoga Springs to a Denny’s at The Crossroads, just for pancakes 😊😊

I really don’t remember the walk taking anything like 30 minutes when we did it? I’d have said 15 mins absolute max, perhaps less? We found it quicker to cut through Winter Summerland as it cut out some weaving through the car park.

The size of the resort is a good point - if you're in Ranchos it could literally double the distance to BB!

Yeah, Google had it as 1.1 miles. I would never attempt it midday (! ) but in the morning it might be fine. I wanted to stay in Casitas so we'd be first on the bus route, but they could assign me anywhere despite preference.

I think it’s less if you go through WS as the road is straight from there - it felt like it took forever when we walked through BB car park

We also wanted to stay in Casitas (or Cabanas) but ended up in Ranchos.

Thanks for the tip Is all the accom nice there? I've never stayed at CSR before, only once at OKW. I also found out that you get one mini golf game free a day, so it's awesome that it's so close to the water park. Fantasia is nearer the Swan & Dolphin rather than a park, but shouldn't be too much of a trek.
